Unloading & Shaking Out Deck
- Use a Crane and /or Forklift when unloading Deck.(most cases a forklift is best)
- Place one or two additional pieces of dunnage on one end of deck bundle so that water will run off deck.
- Do not stack bundles of deck in front of each other so forklift has easy access to get deck out of deck pile when its needed.
- Place deck out of the way of erection activity and feed the bundles to crane when needed.
Unloading Deck – can be done with a forklift or crane, In most cases a forklift is best to unload deck. Make sure that the lay-down is a firm area, properly graded, well drained and accessible. Do not stack bundles of deck in front of each other so forklift has easy access to get deck out of deck pile when its needed. Shaking out Deck – place deck out of the way of erection activity and feed the bundles to crane when needed.
